Sura 77: AL-MURSALAT (THE EMISSARIES) - Juz' 29

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا ﴿۱﴾
Qarib: By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession),
Sarwar: By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God,
Shakir: I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit),
Pickthall: By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another
Yusufali: By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit);
فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا ﴿۲﴾
Qarib: storming tempestuously
Sarwar: by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds,
Shakir: By the raging hurricanes,
Pickthall: By the raging hurricanes,
Yusufali: Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts,
وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا ﴿۳﴾
Qarib: and by the scatterers scattering (rain)
Sarwar: by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide,
Shakir: Which scatter clouds to their destined places,
Pickthall: By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive;
Yusufali: And scatter (things) far and wide;
فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا ﴿۴﴾
Qarib: then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating
Sarwar: by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong
Shakir: Then separate them one from another,
Pickthall: By those who winnow with a winnowing,
Yusufali: Then separate them, one from another,
فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا ﴿۵﴾
Qarib: and those (angels) dropping, reminding
Sarwar: and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets)
Shakir: Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation,
Pickthall: By those who bring down the Reminder,
Yusufali: Then spread abroad a Message,
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا ﴿۶﴾
Qarib: excusing or warning,
Sarwar: to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others:
Shakir: To clear or to warn
Pickthall: To excuse or to warn,
Yusufali: Whether of Justification or of Warning;-
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ ﴿۷﴾
Qarib: surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall!
Sarwar: that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass.
Shakir: Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass
Pickthall: Surely that which ye are promised will befall.
Yusufali: Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass.
فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ ﴿۸﴾
Qarib: When the stars are extinguished,
Sarwar: Then the stars will lose their light.
Shakir: So when the stars are made to lose their light,
Pickthall: So when the stars are put out,
Yusufali: Then when the stars become dim;
وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ فُرِجَتْ ﴿۹﴾
Qarib: and when the sky is rent asunder
Sarwar: Heavens will rent asunder.
Shakir: And when the heaven is rent asunder,
Pickthall: And when the sky is riven asunder,
Yusufali: When the heaven is cleft asunder;
وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ ﴿۱۰﴾
Qarib: and the mountains scattered,
Sarwar: The mountains will be blown away as dust.
Shakir: And when the mountains are carried away as dust,
Pickthall: And when the mountains are blown away,
Yusufali: When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust;
