فِيهَا فَاكِهَةٌ وَالنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ الْأَكْمَامِ
﴿۱۱﴾
Qarib: Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths,
Sarwar: There exists all kinds of fruits, palm-trees with sheathed blossoms, Shakir: Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, Pickthall: Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, Yusufali: Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates);
وَالْحَبُّ ذُو الْعَصْفِ وَالرَّيْحَانُ
﴿۱۲﴾
Qarib: the grain in the blade; and aromatic herbs.
Sarwar: grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. Shakir: And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance Pickthall: Husked grain and scented herb. Yusufali: Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants.
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
﴿۱۳﴾
Qarib: Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie?
Sarwar: (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? Shakir: Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? Pickthall: Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? Yusufali: Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ كَالْفَخَّارِ
﴿۱۴﴾
Qarib: He created the human from clay, like earthenware
Sarwar: He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery Shakir: He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, Pickthall: He created man of clay like the potter's, Yusufali: He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery,
وَخَلَقَ الْجَانَّ مِنْ مَارِجٍ مِنْ نَارٍ
﴿۱۵﴾
Qarib: and He created the jinn from smokeless fire.
Sarwar: and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. Shakir: And He created the jinn of a flame of fire Pickthall: And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. Yusufali: And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke:
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
﴿۱۶﴾
Qarib: Which favors of your Lord will you both belie?
Sarwar: (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? Shakir: Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? Pickthall: Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? Yusufali: Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَيْنِ
﴿۱۷﴾
Qarib: The Lord of the Two Easts, the Lord of the Two Wests.
Sarwar: He is the Lord of the East and West through all seasons. Shakir: Lord of the East and Lord of the West Pickthall: Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! Yusufali: (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests:
فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
﴿۱۸﴾
Qarib: Which favors of your Lord will you both belie?
Sarwar: (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? Shakir: Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? Pickthall: Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? Yusufali: Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?
مَرَجَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ
﴿۱۹﴾
Qarib: He has let forth the two seas, they meet together,
Sarwar: He has made the two oceans meet each other, Shakir: He has made the two seas to flow freely (so that) they meet together: Pickthall: He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. Yusufali: He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together:
بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَا يَبْغِيَانِ
﴿۲۰﴾
Qarib: and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass.
Sarwar: but has created a barrier between them so that they will not merge totally. Shakir: Between them is a barrier which they cannot pass Pickthall: There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). Yusufali: Between them is a Barrier which they do not transgress: |
