|
فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالشَّفَقِ
﴿۱۶﴾
Oh, I swear by the afterglow of sunset, (16)
وَاللَّيْلِ وَمَا وَسَقَ
﴿۱۷﴾
And by the night and all that it enshroudeth, (17)
وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا اتَّسَقَ
﴿۱۸﴾
And by the moon when she is at the full, (18)
لَتَرْكَبُنَّ طَبَقًا عَنْ طَبَقٍ
﴿۱۹﴾
That ye shall journey on from plane to plane. (19)
فَمَا لَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
﴿۲۰﴾
What aileth them, then, that they believe not (20)
وَإِذَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقُرْآنُ لَا يَسْجُدُونَ
﴿۲۱﴾
And, when the Qur'an is recited unto them, worship not (Allah)? (21)
بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا يُكَذِّبُونَ
﴿۲۲﴾
Nay, but those who disbelieve will deny; (22)
وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُوعُونَ
﴿۲۳﴾
And Allah knoweth best what they are hiding. (23)
فَبَشِّرْهُمْ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
﴿۲۴﴾
So give them tidings of a painful doom, (24)
إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ لَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ
﴿۲۵﴾
Save those who believe and do good works, for theirs is a reward unfailing. (25)
