وَهُوَ يَخْشَى
﴿۹﴾
and fearfully, (9)
فَأَنْتَ عَنْهُ تَلَهَّى
﴿۱۰﴾
of him you were unmindful. (10)
كَلَّا إِنَّهَا تَذْكِرَةٌ
﴿۱۱﴾
No indeed, this is a Reminder; (11)
فَمَنْ شَاءَ ذَكَرَهُ
﴿۱۲﴾
and whosoever wills, shall remember it. (12)
فِي صُحُفٍ مُكَرَّمَةٍ
﴿۱۳﴾
upon highly honored pages, (13)
مَرْفُوعَةٍ مُطَهَّرَةٍ
﴿۱۴﴾
exalted, purified, (14)
بِأَيْدِي سَفَرَةٍ
﴿۱۵﴾
by the hands of scribes (15)
كِرَامٍ بَرَرَةٍ
﴿۱۶﴾
noble and pious. (16)
قُتِلَ الْإِنْسَانُ مَا أَكْفَرَهُ
﴿۱۷﴾
Perish the human! How unthankful he is! (17)
مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقَهُ
﴿۱۸﴾
From what did He create him? (18)
