Then We revealed to Moses: 'Now, throw down your staff. ' And thereupon it swallowed up their false invention. (117)

So, the truth prevailed and what they were doing was annulled; (118)

they were defeated and turned belittled, (119)

and the sorcerers prostrated themselves, (120)

saying: 'We believe in the Lord of the Worlds, (121)

the Lord of Moses and Aaron. ' (122)

Pharaoh said: 'Do you believe in Him before I permit? This is a plot that you have contrived in the city in order to expel its people from it. Now you shall know! (123)

I will cut off on opposite sides a hand and a foot, and then crucify you all! ' (124)

They replied: 'We shall surely turn to our Lord. (125)

You would take revenge on us only because we believed in the signs of our Lord when they came to us. Lord, pour patience upon us and let us die as submitters (Muslims). ' (126)
