فَفَتَحْنَا أَبْوَابَ السَّمَاءِ بِمَاءٍ مُنْهَمِرٍ
﴿۱۱﴾
We opened the Gates of Heaven with torrential water (11)
وَفَجَّرْنَا الْأَرْضَ عُيُونًا فَالْتَقَى الْمَاءُ عَلَى أَمْرٍ قَدْ قُدِرَ
﴿۱۲﴾
and caused the earth to gush with springs, so that the waters met for a predestined matter. (12)
وَحَمَلْنَاهُ عَلَى ذَاتِ أَلْوَاحٍ وَدُسُرٍ
﴿۱۳﴾
We carried him in a well built, watertight vessel made from planks (of wood) (13)
تَجْرِي بِأَعْيُنِنَا جَزَاءً لِمَنْ كَانَ كُفِرَ
﴿۱۴﴾
that ran on under Our Eyes, a recompense for him because he had been disbelieved. (14)
وَلَقَدْ تَرَكْنَاهَا آيَةً فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ
﴿۱۵﴾
We have left it as a sign. Is there any that will remember? (15)
فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ
﴿۱۶﴾
How then were My punishment and My warnings! (16)
وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِنْ مُدَّكِرٍ
﴿۱۷﴾
We have made the Koran easy to remember, is there any that will remember! (17)
كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ
﴿۱۸﴾
Aad too belied. How then were My punishment and My warnings! (18)
إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِي يَوْمِ نَحْسٍ مُسْتَمِرٍّ
﴿۱۹﴾
And We sent against them a howling wind in a Day of continuous of ill fortune (19)
تَنْزِعُ النَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ مُنْقَعِرٍ
﴿۲۰﴾
and snatched people up as though they were stumps of uprooted palmtrees. (20)
