سوره 70: المعارج - جزء 29

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
به نام خداوند رحمتگر مهربان
سَأَلَ سَائِلٌ بِعَذَابٍ وَاقِعٍ ﴿۱﴾
Qarib: A caller supplicated about a punishment to fall on
Sarwar: Someone has (needlessly) demanded to experience the torment (of God),
Shakir: One demanding, demanded the chastisement which must befall
Pickthall: A questioner questioned concerning the doom about to fall
Yusufali: A questioner asked about a Penalty to befall-
لِلْكَافِرِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُ دَافِعٌ ﴿۲﴾
Qarib: the unbelievers which none can prevent.
Sarwar: which will inevitably seize the disbelievers.
Shakir: The unbelievers-- there is none to avert it--
Pickthall: Upon the disbelievers, which none can repel,
Yusufali: The Unbelievers, the which there is none to ward off,-
مِنَ اللَّهِ ذِي الْمَعَارِجِ ﴿۳﴾
Qarib: (A punishment) from Allah, the Owner of the Elevated Passages.
Sarwar: No one can defend him against God, the Lord of the exalted positions.
Shakir: From Allah, the Lord of the ways of Ascent
Pickthall: From Allah, Lord of the Ascending Stairways
Yusufali: (A Penalty) from Allah, Lord of the Ways of Ascent.
تَعْرُجُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ ﴿۴﴾
Qarib: To Him the angels and the Spirit (Gabriel) ascend in a day, the measure of which is fifty thousand years.
Sarwar: On that Day (of Judgment), long as fifty thousand years, the angels and the Spirit will ascend to Him.
Shakir: To Him ascend the angels and the Spirit in a day the measure of which is fifty thousand years
Pickthall: (Whereby) the angels and the Spirit ascend unto Him in a Day whereof the span is fifty thousand years.
Yusufali: The angels and the spirit ascend unto him in a Day the measure whereof is (as) fifty thousand years:
فَاصْبِرْ صَبْرًا جَمِيلًا ﴿۵﴾
Qarib: Therefore be patient, with a beautiful patience;
Sarwar: (Muhammad), exercise patience with no complaints.
Shakir: Therefore endure with a goodly patience
Pickthall: But be patient (O Muhammad) with a patience fair to see.
Yusufali: Therefore do thou hold Patience,- a Patience of beautiful (contentment).
إِنَّهُمْ يَرَوْنَهُ بَعِيدًا ﴿۶﴾
Qarib: they see it as being far off;
Sarwar: They think that it (the Day of Judgment) is far away.
Shakir: Surely they think it to be far off,
Pickthall: Lo! they behold it afar off
Yusufali: They see the (Day) indeed as a far-off (event):
وَنَرَاهُ قَرِيبًا ﴿۷﴾
Qarib: but We see it near.
Sarwar: but We see it to be very near.
Shakir: And We see it nigh
Pickthall: While we behold it nigh:
Yusufali: But We see it (quite) near.
يَوْمَ تَكُونُ السَّمَاءُ كَالْمُهْلِ ﴿۸﴾
Qarib: On that Day the heaven shall become like molten copper,
Sarwar: On the day when the heavens become like molten metal.
Shakir: On the day when the heaven shall be as molten copper
Pickthall: The day when the sky will become as molten copper,
Yusufali: The Day that the sky will be like molten brass,
وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ ﴿۹﴾
Qarib: and the mountains shall be like puffs of wool.
Sarwar: and the mountains become like wool,
Shakir: And the mountains shall be as tufts of wool
Pickthall: And the hills become as flakes of wool,
Yusufali: And the mountains will be like wool,
وَلَا يَسْأَلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمًا ﴿۱۰﴾
Qarib: No loyal friend will ask another loyal friend
Sarwar: even intimate friends will not inquire about their friends,
Shakir: And friend shall not ask of friend
Pickthall: And no familiar friend will ask a question of his friend
Yusufali: And no friend will ask after a friend,
