Sura 11: HUD (HUD) - Juz' 12

Qarib: And establish your prayer at the two edges of the day and in part of the night. Good deeds will repel evil deeds. That is a remembrance for those who remember.
Sarwar: Say your prayers in the morning, the last portion of the day, and at the beginning of the night. Good deeds do away with the bad deeds. This is a reminder for those who take heed.
Shakir: And keep up prayer in the two parts of the day and in the first hours of the night; surely good deeds take away evil deeds this is a reminder to the mindful
Pickthall: Establish worship at the two ends of the day and in some watches of the night. Lo! good deeds annul ill-deeds. This is reminder for the mindful.
Yusufali: And establish regular prayers at the two ends of the day and at the approaches of the night: For those things, that are good remove those that are evil: Be that the word of remembrance to those who remember (their Lord):
Qarib: Therefore have patience; Allah will not let the wage of the gooddoers go to waste.
Sarwar: Exercise patience; God does not ignore the reward of those who do good.
Shakir: And be patient, for surely Allah does not waste the reward of the good-doers
Pickthall: And have patience, (O Muhammad), for lo! Allah loseth not the wages of the good.
Yusufali: And be steadfast in patience; for verily Allah will not suffer the reward of the righteous to perish.
Qarib: If (only) there had been except for a few among them whom We saved among the generations that have gone before you, some that remained forbidding corruption in the land, but the wrongdoers pursued the ease they had been given to delight in and became sinners.
Sarwar: Why were there no people of understanding among those people of the destroyed towns of the past except for a few, whom we saved from destruction, to prevent people from committing evil in the land? The unjust among them indulged in worldly pleasures and so became guilty.
Shakir: But why were there not among the generations before you those possessing understanding, who should have forbidden the making of mischief in the earth, except a few of those whom We delivered from among them? And those who were unjust went after what they are made to enjoy of plenty, and they were guilty
Pickthall: If only there had been among the generations before you men possessing a remnant (of good sense) to warn (their people) from corruption in the earth, as did a few of those whom We saved from them! The wrong-doers followed that by which they were made sapless, and were guilty.
Yusufali: Why were there not, among the generations before you, persons possessed of balanced good sense, prohibiting (men) from mischief in the earth - except a few among them whom We saved (from harm)? But the wrong-doers pursued the enjoyment of the good things of life which were given them, and persisted in sin.
Qarib: Your Lord would never destroy the villages unjustly, whilst their people were reforming.
Sarwar: Your Lord would not have destroyed those people (of the towns) for their injustice if they had tried to reform themselves.
Shakir: And it did not beseem your Lord to have destroyed the towns tyrannously, while their people acted well
Pickthall: In truth thy Lord destroyed not the townships tyrannously while their folk were doing right.
Yusufali: Nor would thy Lord be the One to destroy communities for a single wrong-doing, if its members were likely to mend.
Qarib: Had your Lord willed, He would have made mankind a single nation. But they continue in their differences
Sarwar: Had your Lord wanted, He would have made all people one united nation. They still have different beliefs
Shakir: And if your Lord had pleased He would certainly have made people a single nation, and they shall continue to differ
Pickthall: And if thy Lord had willed, He verily would have made mankind one nation, yet they cease not differing,
Yusufali: If thy Lord had so willed, He could have made mankind one people: but they will not cease to dispute.
Qarib: except those on whom your Lord shows mercy. For this end He has created them. The Word of your Lord shall be perfectly completed: 'I shall fill Gehenna (Hell) with jinn and people, all together. '
Sarwar: except those upon whom God has granted His mercy. God has created them to receive mercy. The decree of your Lord that He will fill hell with both jinn and human beings has already been ordained.
Shakir: Except those on whom your Lord has mercy; and for this did He create them; and the word of your Lord is fulfilled: Certainly I will fill hell with the jinn and the men, all together
Pickthall: Save him on whom thy Lord hath mercy; and for that He did create them. And the Word of thy Lord hath been fulfilled: Verily I shall fill hell with the jinn and mankind together.
Yusufali: Except those on whom thy Lord hath bestowed His Mercy: and for this did He create them: and the Word of thy Lord shall be fulfilled: "I will fill Hell with jinns and men all together."
Qarib: And all We relate to you of the tidings of the Messengers is that whereby We strengthen your heart and through these the truth has come to you, and an admonition and a reminder to the believers.
Sarwar: (Muhammad), We tell you all the stories of the Messengers which will strengthen your heart. In the Quran We have revealed the Truth to you with good advice and reminders for the faithful ones.
Shakir: And all we relate to you of the accounts of the messengers is to strengthen your heart therewith; and in this has come to you the truth and an admonition, and a reminder to the believers
Pickthall: And all that We relate unto thee of the story of the messengers is in order that thereby We may make firm thy heart. And herein hath come unto thee the Truth and an exhortation and a reminder for believers.
Yusufali: All that we relate to thee of the stories of the messengers,- with it We make firm thy heart: in them there cometh to thee the Truth, as well as an exhortation and a message of remembrance to those who believe.
Qarib: Say to those who disbelieve: 'Do according to your station; we are doing according to our station. '
Sarwar: Tell the unbelievers, "Do as you wish and I will do as I believe.
Shakir: And say to those who do not believe: Act according to your state; surely we too are acting
Pickthall: And say unto those who believe not: Act according to your power. Lo! We (too) are acting.
Yusufali: Say to those who do not believe: "Do what ever ye can: We shall do our part;
Qarib: Wait; we too are waiting. '
Sarwar: Wait, and I, too, will be waiting with you."
Shakir: And wait; surely we are waiting also
Pickthall: And wait! Lo! We (too) are waiting.
Yusufali: "And wait ye! We too shall wait."
Qarib: To Allah belongs the unseen in the heavens and in the earth; to Him the matter, in its entirety, shall be returned. Worship Him, and put your trust in Him. Your Lord is not inattentive of the things you do.
Sarwar: To God belongs the knowledge of the unseen in the heavens and the earth and to Him do all affairs return. Worship Him and trust Him. Your Lord is not unaware of what you do.
Shakir: And Allah's is the unseen in the heavens and the earth, and to Him is returned the whole of the affair; therefore serve Him and rely on Him, and your Lord is not heedless of what you do
Pickthall: And Allah's is the Invisible of the heavens and the earth, and unto Him the whole matter will be returned. So worship Him and put thy trust in Him. Lo! thy Lord is not unaware of what ye (mortals) do.
Yusufali: To Allah do belong the unseen (secrets) of the heavens and the earth, and to Him goeth back every affair (for decision): then worship Him, and put thy trust in Him: and thy Lord is not unmindful of aught that ye do.
