In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qarib: Have you seen he who belied the Recompense?
Sarwar: Have you seen the one who calls the religion a lie?
Shakir: Have you considered him who calls the judgment a lie?
Pickthall: Hast thou observed him who belieth religion?
Yusufali: Seest thou one who denies the Judgment (to come)?
Qarib: It is he who turns away the orphan
Sarwar: It is he who turns down the orphans
Shakir: That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness,
Pickthall: That is he who repelleth the orphan,
Yusufali: Then such is the (man) who repulses the orphan (with harshness),
Qarib: and does not urge others to feed the needy.
Sarwar: and never encourages the feeding of the destitute.
Shakir: And does not urge (others) to feed the poor
Pickthall: And urgeth not the feeding of the needy.
Yusufali: And encourages not the feeding of the indigent.
Qarib: Woe to those who pray,
Sarwar: Woe to the worshippers
Shakir: So woe to the praying ones,
Pickthall: Ah, woe unto worshippers
Yusufali: So woe to the worshippers
Qarib: who are heedless of their prayers (delaying them from their prescribed times),
Sarwar: who become confused during their prayers,
Shakir: Who are unmindful of their prayers,
Pickthall: Who are heedless of their prayer;
Yusufali: Who are neglectful of their prayers,
Qarib: who show off,
Sarwar: who show off (his good deeds)
Shakir: Who do (good) to be seen,
Pickthall: Who would be seen (at worship)
Yusufali: Those who (want but) to be seen (of men),
Qarib: and prevent the utensils of assistance.
Sarwar: and refuse to help the needy.
Shakir: And withhold the necessaries of life
Pickthall: Yet refuse small kindnesses!
Yusufali: But refuse (to supply) (even) neighbourly needs.
