Sura 96: AL-ALAQ (THE CLOT) - Juz' 30

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qarib: Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created,
Sarwar: (Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things).
Shakir: Read in the name of your Lord Who created
Pickthall: Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth,
Yusufali: Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created-
Qarib: created the human from a (blood) clot.
Sarwar: He created man from a clot of blood.
Shakir: He created man from a clot
Pickthall: Createth man from a clot.
Yusufali: Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood:
اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ ﴿۳﴾
Qarib: Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous,
Sarwar: Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One,
Shakir: Read and your Lord is Most Honorable,
Pickthall: Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous,
Yusufali: Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,-
Qarib: who taught by the pen,
Sarwar: who, by the pen, taught the human being:
Shakir: Who taught (to write) with the pen
Pickthall: Who teacheth by the pen,
Yusufali: He Who taught (the use of) the pen,-
Qarib: taught the human what he did not know.
Sarwar: He taught the human being what he did not know.
Shakir: Taught man what he knew not
Pickthall: Teacheth man that which he knew not.
Yusufali: Taught man that which he knew not.
Qarib: Indeed, surely the human is very insolent
Sarwar: Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel
Shakir: Nay! man is most surely inordinate,
Pickthall: Nay, but verily man is rebellious
Yusufali: Day, but man doth transgress all bounds,
Qarib: that he sees himself sufficed.
Sarwar: because he thinks that he is independent.
Shakir: Because he sees himself free from want
Pickthall: That he thinketh himself independent!
Yusufali: In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient.
Qarib: Indeed, to your Lord is the returning.
Sarwar: However, (all things) will return to your Lord.
Shakir: Surely to your Lord is the return
Pickthall: Lo! unto thy Lord is the return.
Yusufali: Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all).
Qarib: What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids
Sarwar: Have you seen the one who prohibits
Shakir: Have you seen him who forbids
Pickthall: Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth
Yusufali: Seest thou one who forbids-
Qarib: a worshiper when he prays.
Sarwar: a servant of Ours from prayer?
Shakir: A servant when he prays?
Pickthall: A slave when he prayeth?
Yusufali: A votary when he (turns) to pray?
