بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
به نام خداوند رحمتگر مهربان
اقْرَأْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ
﴿۱﴾
Qarib: Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created,
Sarwar: (Muhammad), read in the name of your Lord who created (all things). Shakir: Read in the name of your Lord Who created Pickthall: Read: In the name of thy Lord Who createth, Yusufali: Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created-
خَلَقَ الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ عَلَقٍ
﴿۲﴾
Qarib: created the human from a (blood) clot.
Sarwar: He created man from a clot of blood. Shakir: He created man from a clot Pickthall: Createth man from a clot. Yusufali: Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood:
اقْرَأْ وَرَبُّكَ الْأَكْرَمُ
﴿۳﴾
Qarib: Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous,
Sarwar: Recite! Your Lord is the most Honorable One, Shakir: Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, Pickthall: Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, Yusufali: Proclaim! And thy Lord is Most Bountiful,-
الَّذِي عَلَّمَ بِالْقَلَمِ
﴿۴﴾
Qarib: who taught by the pen,
Sarwar: who, by the pen, taught the human being: Shakir: Who taught (to write) with the pen Pickthall: Who teacheth by the pen, Yusufali: He Who taught (the use of) the pen,-
عَلَّمَ الْإِنْسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ
﴿۵﴾
Qarib: taught the human what he did not know.
Sarwar: He taught the human being what he did not know. Shakir: Taught man what he knew not Pickthall: Teacheth man that which he knew not. Yusufali: Taught man that which he knew not.
كَلَّا إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَيَطْغَى
﴿۶﴾
Qarib: Indeed, surely the human is very insolent
Sarwar: Despite this, the human being still tends to rebel Shakir: Nay! man is most surely inordinate, Pickthall: Nay, but verily man is rebellious Yusufali: Day, but man doth transgress all bounds,
أَنْ رَآهُ اسْتَغْنَى
﴿۷﴾
Qarib: that he sees himself sufficed.
Sarwar: because he thinks that he is independent. Shakir: Because he sees himself free from want Pickthall: That he thinketh himself independent! Yusufali: In that he looketh upon himself as self-sufficient.
إِنَّ إِلَى رَبِّكَ الرُّجْعَى
﴿۸﴾
Qarib: Indeed, to your Lord is the returning.
Sarwar: However, (all things) will return to your Lord. Shakir: Surely to your Lord is the return Pickthall: Lo! unto thy Lord is the return. Yusufali: Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all).
أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يَنْهَى
﴿۹﴾
Qarib: What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids
Sarwar: Have you seen the one who prohibits Shakir: Have you seen him who forbids Pickthall: Hast thou seen him who dissuadeth Yusufali: Seest thou one who forbids-
عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّى
﴿۱۰﴾
Qarib: a worshiper when he prays.
Sarwar: a servant of Ours from prayer? Shakir: A servant when he prays? Pickthall: A slave when he prayeth? Yusufali: A votary when he (turns) to pray?
أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ كَانَ عَلَى الْهُدَى
﴿۱۱﴾
Qarib: Have you seen if he was upon guidance
Sarwar: What will happen if the praying person is rightly guided Shakir: Have you considered if he were on the right way, Pickthall: Hast thou seen if he relieth on the guidance (of Allah) Yusufali: Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?-
أَوْ أَمَرَ بِالتَّقْوَى
﴿۱۲﴾
Qarib: or orders piety?
Sarwar: or if he commands others to maintain piety!? Shakir: Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? Pickthall: Or enjoineth piety? Yusufali: Or enjoins Righteousness?
أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّى
﴿۱۳﴾
Qarib: What do you think? Have you seen if he belies and turns away,
Sarwar: What will happen if the prohibiting rejects the Truth and turns away from it!? Shakir: Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? Pickthall: Hast thou seen if he denieth (Allah's guidance) and is froward? Yusufali: Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away?
أَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَرَى
﴿۱۴﴾
Qarib: does he not know that Allah sees?
Sarwar: Does he not realize that God sees him? Shakir: Does he not know that Allah does see? Pickthall: Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? Yusufali: Knoweth he not that Allah doth see?
كَلَّا لَئِنْ لَمْ يَنْتَهِ لَنَسْفَعًا بِالنَّاصِيَةِ
﴿۱۵﴾
Qarib: Indeed, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock,
Sarwar: Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, Shakir: Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly smite his forehead, Pickthall: Nay, but if he cease not We will seize him by the forelock - Yusufali: Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,-
نَاصِيَةٍ كَاذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ
﴿۱۶﴾
Qarib: a lying, sinful forelock.
Sarwar: his lying sinful forelock. Shakir: A lying, sinful forehead Pickthall: The lying, sinful forelock - Yusufali: A lying, sinful forelock!
فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُ
﴿۱۷﴾
Qarib: So, let him call upon his way!
Sarwar: Let him call on his associates for help Shakir: Then let him summon his council, Pickthall: Then let him call upon his henchmen! Yusufali: Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades):
سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ
﴿۱۸﴾
Qarib: We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell).
Sarwar: and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. Shakir: We too would summon the braves of the army Pickthall: We will call the guards of hell. Yusufali: We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)!
كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَاسْجُدْ وَاقْتَرِبْ
﴿۱۹﴾
Qarib: No, indeed; do not obey him! Prostrate and come nearer (to Allah).
Sarwar: (Muhammad), never yield to him! Prostrate yourself and try to come closer to God. Shakir: Nay! obey him not, and make obeisance and draw nigh (to Allah) Pickthall: Nay, Obey not thou him. But prostrate thyself, and draw near (unto Allah). Yusufali: Day, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah)! |
