كَلَّا لَمَّا يَقْضِ مَا أَمَرَهُ
﴿۲۳﴾
Qarib: Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him.
Sarwar: Certainly, he has not duly fulfilled His commands. Shakir: Nay; but he has not done what He bade him Pickthall: Nay, but (man) hath not done what He commanded him. Yusufali: By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him.
فَلْيَنْظُرِ الْإِنْسَانُ إِلَى طَعَامِهِ
﴿۲۴﴾
Qarib: Let the human reflect on the food he eats,
Sarwar: Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. Shakir: Then let man look to his food, Pickthall: Let man consider his food: Yusufali: Then let man look at his food, (and how We provide it):
أَنَّا صَبَبْنَا الْمَاءَ صَبًّا
﴿۲۵﴾
Qarib: how We pour down rain in abundance,
Sarwar: We send down abundant water, Shakir: That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, Pickthall: How We pour water in showers Yusufali: For that We pour forth water in abundance,
ثُمَّ شَقَقْنَا الْأَرْضَ شَقًّا
﴿۲۶﴾
Qarib: and split the earth, splitting,
Sarwar: and let the earth to break open Shakir: Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, Pickthall: Then split the earth in clefts Yusufali: And We split the earth in fragments,
فَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا حَبًّا
﴿۲۷﴾
Qarib: how We made the grain to grow,
Sarwar: to yield therein corn, Shakir: Then We cause to grow therein the grain, Pickthall: And cause the grain to grow therein Yusufali: And produce therein corn,
وَعِنَبًا وَقَضْبًا
﴿۲۸﴾
Qarib: grapes, and fresh fodder,
Sarwar: grapes, vegetables, Shakir: And grapes and clover, Pickthall: And grapes and green fodder Yusufali: And Grapes and nutritious plants,
وَزَيْتُونًا وَنَخْلًا
﴿۲۹﴾
Qarib: and the olive, and the palm,
Sarwar: olives, dates, Shakir: And the olive and the palm, Pickthall: And olive-trees and palm-trees Yusufali: And Olives and Dates,
وَحَدَائِقَ غُلْبًا
﴿۳۰﴾
Qarib: the densely tree'd gardens,
Sarwar: thickly planted gardens, Shakir: And thick gardens, Pickthall: And garden-closes of thick foliage Yusufali: And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees,
وَفَاكِهَةً وَأَبًّا
﴿۳۱﴾
Qarib: and fruit and pastures,
Sarwar: fruits, and grass. Shakir: And fruits and herbage Pickthall: And fruits and grasses: Yusufali: And fruits and fodder,-
مَتَاعًا لَكُمْ وَلِأَنْعَامِكُمْ
﴿۳۲﴾
Qarib: for you and for your herds to delight in.
Sarwar: (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. Shakir: A provision for you and for your cattle Pickthall: Provision for you and your cattle. Yusufali: For use and convenience to you and your cattle. |
