Sura 78: AN-NABA (THE TIDINGS) - Juz' 30

Qarib: Indeed, Gehenna (Hell) has become an ambush,
Sarwar: Hell will lie in wait (for its prey).
Shakir: Surely hell lies in wait,
Pickthall: Lo! hell lurketh in ambush,
Yusufali: Truly Hell is as a place of ambush,
Qarib: a return for the insolent,
Sarwar: It will be a place of return
Shakir: A place of resort for the inordinate,
Pickthall: A home for the rebellious.
Yusufali: For the transgressors a place of destination:
لَابِثِينَ فِيهَا أَحْقَابًا ﴿۲۳﴾
Qarib: there, they shall live for ages,
Sarwar: for the rebellious ones and they will live therein for ages.
Shakir: Living therein for ages
Pickthall: They will abide therein for ages.
Yusufali: They will dwell therein for ages.
Qarib: tasting neither coolness nor any drink
Sarwar: They will not feel cold nor taste any drink
Shakir: They shall not taste therein cool nor drink
Pickthall: Therein taste they neither coolness nor (any) drink
Yusufali: Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink,
Qarib: except boiling water and pus
Sarwar: except boiling water and pus,
Shakir: But boiling and intensely cold water,
Pickthall: Save boiling water and a paralysing cold:
Yusufali: Save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold,
Qarib: for a suitable recompense.
Sarwar: as a fitting recompense for their deeds.
Shakir: Requital corresponding
Pickthall: Reward proportioned (to their evil deeds).
Yusufali: A fitting recompense (for them).
Qarib: Indeed, they did not hope for a Reckoning,
Sarwar: They did not expect such a Judgment
Shakir: Surely they feared not the account,
Pickthall: For lo! they looked not for a reckoning;
Yusufali: For that they used not to fear any account (for their deeds),
Qarib: and they absolutely belied Our verses,
Sarwar: and persistently rejected Our revelations.
Shakir: And called Our communications a lie, giving the lie (to the truth)
Pickthall: They called Our revelations false with strong denial.
Yusufali: But they (impudently) treated Our Signs as false.
Qarib: and everything We have numbered in a Book.
Sarwar: However, We have recorded everything in a book.
Shakir: And We have recorded everything in a book,
Pickthall: Everything have We recorded in a Book.
Yusufali: And all things have We preserved on record.
Qarib: 'Taste! We shall not increase you except in punishment! '
Sarwar: (They will be told), "Suffer, We shall only increase the torment for you".
Shakir: So taste! for We will not add to you aught but chastisement
Pickthall: So taste (of that which ye have earned). No increase do We give you save of torment.
Yusufali: "So taste ye (the fruits of your deeds); for no increase shall We grant you, except in Punishment."
