بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
به نام خداوند رحمتگر مهربان
وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا
﴿۱﴾
Qarib: By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession),
Sarwar: By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, Shakir: I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), Pickthall: By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another Yusufali: By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit);
فَالْعَاصِفَاتِ عَصْفًا
﴿۲﴾
Qarib: storming tempestuously
Sarwar: by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, Shakir: By the raging hurricanes, Pickthall: By the raging hurricanes, Yusufali: Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts,
وَالنَّاشِرَاتِ نَشْرًا
﴿۳﴾
Qarib: and by the scatterers scattering (rain)
Sarwar: by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, Shakir: Which scatter clouds to their destined places, Pickthall: By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; Yusufali: And scatter (things) far and wide;
فَالْفَارِقَاتِ فَرْقًا
﴿۴﴾
Qarib: then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating
Sarwar: by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong Shakir: Then separate them one from another, Pickthall: By those who winnow with a winnowing, Yusufali: Then separate them, one from another,
فَالْمُلْقِيَاتِ ذِكْرًا
﴿۵﴾
Qarib: and those (angels) dropping, reminding
Sarwar: and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) Shakir: Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, Pickthall: By those who bring down the Reminder, Yusufali: Then spread abroad a Message,
عُذْرًا أَوْ نُذْرًا
﴿۶﴾
Qarib: excusing or warning,
Sarwar: to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: Shakir: To clear or to warn Pickthall: To excuse or to warn, Yusufali: Whether of Justification or of Warning;-
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَاقِعٌ
﴿۷﴾
Qarib: surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall!
Sarwar: that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. Shakir: Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass Pickthall: Surely that which ye are promised will befall. Yusufali: Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass.
فَإِذَا النُّجُومُ طُمِسَتْ
﴿۸﴾
Qarib: When the stars are extinguished,
Sarwar: Then the stars will lose their light. Shakir: So when the stars are made to lose their light, Pickthall: So when the stars are put out, Yusufali: Then when the stars become dim;
وَإِذَا السَّمَاءُ فُرِجَتْ
﴿۹﴾
Qarib: and when the sky is rent asunder
Sarwar: Heavens will rent asunder. Shakir: And when the heaven is rent asunder, Pickthall: And when the sky is riven asunder, Yusufali: When the heaven is cleft asunder;
وَإِذَا الْجِبَالُ نُسِفَتْ
﴿۱۰﴾
Qarib: and the mountains scattered,
Sarwar: The mountains will be blown away as dust. Shakir: And when the mountains are carried away as dust, Pickthall: And when the mountains are blown away, Yusufali: When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust;
وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتْ
﴿۱۱﴾
Qarib: and when the Messengers' time is set
Sarwar: The Messengers will receive their appointments. Shakir: And when the messengers are gathered at their appointed time Pickthall: And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - Yusufali: And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);-
لِأَيِّ يَوْمٍ أُجِّلَتْ
﴿۱۲﴾
Qarib: to what day shall they be deferred?
Sarwar: If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" Shakir: To what day is the doom fixed? Pickthall: For what day is the time appointed? Yusufali: For what Day are these (portents) deferred?
لِيَوْمِ الْفَصْلِ
﴿۱۳﴾
Qarib: Upon the Day of Decision!
Sarwar: one will be told,"To the Day of Distinction". Shakir: To the day of decision Pickthall: For the Day of Decision. Yusufali: For the Day of Sorting out.
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ
﴿۱۴﴾
Qarib: Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is!
Sarwar: Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! Shakir: And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? Pickthall: And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - Yusufali: And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out?
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
﴿۱۵﴾
Qarib: Woe on that Day to those who belied it!
Sarwar: On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! Shakir: Woe on that day to the rejecters Pickthall: Woe unto the repudiators on that day! Yusufali: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
أَلَمْ نُهْلِكِ الْأَوَّلِينَ
﴿۱۶﴾
Qarib: Did We not destroy the ancients
Sarwar: Did We not destroy the ancient people Shakir: Did We not destroy the former generations? Pickthall: Destroyed We not the former folk, Yusufali: Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)?
ثُمَّ نُتْبِعُهُمُ الْآخِرِينَ
﴿۱۷﴾
Qarib: and let the latter follow them?
Sarwar: and make others settle after them in their land? Shakir: Then did We follow them up with later ones Pickthall: Then caused the latter folk to follow after? Yusufali: So shall We make later (generations) follow them.
كَذَلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِالْمُجْرِمِينَ
﴿۱۸﴾
Qarib: As such shall We deal with the sinners.
Sarwar: Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. Shakir: Even thus shall We deal with the guilty Pickthall: Thus deal We ever with the guilty. Yusufali: Thus do We deal with men of sin.
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
﴿۱۹﴾
Qarib: Woe on that Day to those who belied it!
Sarwar: On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! Shakir: Woe on that day to the rejecters Pickthall: Woe unto the repudiators on that day! Yusufali: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
أَلَمْ نَخْلُقْكُمْ مِنْ مَاءٍ مَهِينٍ
﴿۲۰﴾
Qarib: Did We not create you from a weak water,
Sarwar: Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid Shakir: Did We not create you from contemptible water? Pickthall: Did We not create you from a base fluid Yusufali: Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?-
فَجَعَلْنَاهُ فِي قَرَارٍ مَكِينٍ
﴿۲۱﴾
Qarib: which We placed within a sure lodging
Sarwar: and place it in a secure place Shakir: Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, Pickthall: Which We laid up in a safe abode Yusufali: The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed,
إِلَى قَدَرٍ مَعْلُومٍ
﴿۲۲﴾
Qarib: for an appointed term?
Sarwar: for an appointed time? Shakir: Till an appointed term, Pickthall: For a known term? Yusufali: For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)?
فَقَدَرْنَا فَنِعْمَ الْقَادِرُونَ
﴿۲۳﴾
Qarib: We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We!
Sarwar: Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! Shakir: So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things) Pickthall: Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! Yusufali: For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things).
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
﴿۲۴﴾
Qarib: Woe on that Day to those who belied it!
Sarwar: On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! Shakir: Woe on that day to the rejecters Pickthall: Woe unto the repudiators on that day! Yusufali: Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth!
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ كِفَاتًا
﴿۲۵﴾
Qarib: Have We not made the earth a housing
Sarwar: Did We not make the earth as a gathering place Shakir: Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, Pickthall: Have We not made the earth a receptacle Yusufali: Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together.
أَحْيَاءً وَأَمْوَاتًا
﴿۲۶﴾
Qarib: for both the living and the dead?
Sarwar: for the living and the dead, Shakir: The living and the dead, Pickthall: Both for the living and the dead, Yusufali: The living and the dead,
وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ شَامِخَاتٍ وَأَسْقَيْنَاكُمْ مَاءً فُرَاتًا
﴿۲۷﴾
Qarib: Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water?
Sarwar: place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? Shakir: And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? Pickthall: And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? Yusufali: And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)?
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
﴿۲۸﴾
Qarib: Woe on that Day to those who belied it!
Sarwar: On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! Shakir: Woe on that day to the rejecters Pickthall: Woe unto the repudiators on that day! Yusufali: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى مَا كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ
﴿۲۹﴾
Qarib: Depart to that which you belied!
Sarwar: Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. Shakir: Walk on to that which you called a lie Pickthall: (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; Yusufali: (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false!
انْطَلِقُوا إِلَى ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ
﴿۳۰﴾
Qarib: Depart into the shadow of three masses,
Sarwar: Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns Shakir: Walk on to the covering having three branches, Pickthall: Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, Yusufali: "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns,
لَا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ
﴿۳۱﴾
Qarib: wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames
Sarwar: which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. Shakir: Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame Pickthall: (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. Yusufali: "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze.
إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ
﴿۳۲﴾
Qarib: it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace,
Sarwar: The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers Shakir: Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, Pickthall: Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, Yusufali: "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts,
كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ
﴿۳۳﴾
Qarib: as black camels.
Sarwar: and yellow camels. Shakir: As if they were tawny camels Pickthall: (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. Yusufali: "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)."
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
﴿۳۴﴾
Qarib: Woe on that Day to those who belied it!
Sarwar: On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! Shakir: Woe on that day to the rejecters Pickthall: Woe unto the repudiators on that day! Yusufali: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
هَذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنْطِقُونَ
﴿۳۵﴾
Qarib: This is the Day they shall not speak,
Sarwar: On that day they will not be able to speak, Shakir: This is the day on which they shall not speak, Pickthall: This is a day wherein they speak not, Yusufali: That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak.
وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ
﴿۳۶﴾
Qarib: nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize.
Sarwar: nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. Shakir: And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses Pickthall: Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. Yusufali: Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas.
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
﴿۳۷﴾
Qarib: Woe on that Day to those who belied it!
Sarwar: On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! Shakir: Woe on that day to the rejecters Pickthall: Woe unto the repudiators on that day! Yusufali: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
هَذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ
﴿۳۸﴾
Qarib: Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients.
Sarwar: That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. Shakir: This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore Pickthall: This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. Yusufali: That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)!
فَإِنْ كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ
﴿۳۹﴾
Qarib: If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me!
Sarwar: If you have any plans, use them. Shakir: So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now) Pickthall: If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. Yusufali: Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me!
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
﴿۴۰﴾
Qarib: Woe on that Day to those who belied it!
Sarwar: On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! Shakir: Woe on that day to the rejecters Pickthall: Woe unto the repudiators on that day! Yusufali: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ
﴿۴۱﴾
Qarib: Indeed, the cautious, shall live amid shades and fountains
Sarwar: The pious ones will rest amid the shade, springs, Shakir: Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be amid shades and fountains, Pickthall: Lo! those who kept their duty are amid shade and fountains, Yusufali: As to the Righteous, they shall be amidst (cool) shades and springs (of water).
وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ
﴿۴۲﴾
Qarib: and have such fruits as they desire.
Sarwar: and fruits of the kind which they desire. Shakir: And fruits such as they desire Pickthall: And fruits such as they desire. Yusufali: And (they shall have) fruits,- all they desire.
كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
﴿۴۳﴾
Qarib: (It shall be said to them): 'Eat and drink, with a good appetite, for all that you did. '
Sarwar: (They will be told), "Eat and drink in good health as a reward for what you have done". Shakir: Eat and drink pleasantly because of what you did Pickthall: (Unto them it is said:) Eat, drink and welcome, O ye blessed, in return for what ye did. Yusufali: "Eat ye and drink ye to your heart's content: for that ye worked (Righteousness).
إِنَّا كَذَلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ
﴿۴۴﴾
Qarib: As such We recompense those who did good.
Sarwar: Thus do We reward the righteous ones. Shakir: Surely thus do We reward the doers of good Pickthall: Thus do We reward the good. Yusufali: Thus do We certainly reward the Doers of Good.
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
﴿۴۵﴾
Qarib: Woe on that Day to those who belied it!
Sarwar: On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! Shakir: Woe on that day to the rejecters Pickthall: Woe unto the repudiators on that day! Yusufali: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُمْ مُجْرِمُونَ
﴿۴۶﴾
Qarib: 'Eat and enjoy yourselves a little, for you are sinners! '
Sarwar: (Disbelievers), eat and enjoy yourselves for a little while. You are certainly sinful ones. Shakir: Eat and enjoy yourselves for a little; surely you are guilty Pickthall: Eat and take your ease (on earth) a little. Lo! ye are guilty. Yusufali: (O ye unjust!) Eat ye and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, for that ye are Sinners.
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
﴿۴۷﴾
Qarib: Woe on that Day to those who belied it!
Sarwar: On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! Shakir: Woe on that day to the rejecters Pickthall: Woe unto the repudiators on that day! Yusufali: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ
﴿۴۸﴾
Qarib: When it is said to them: 'Bow yourselves, ' they do not bow.
Sarwar: When they are told to say their prayers, they do not bow down (in prayer). Shakir: And where it is said to them: Bow down, they do not bow down Pickthall: When it is said unto them: Bow down, they bow not down! Yusufali: And when it is said to them, "Prostrate yourselves!" they do not so.
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ
﴿۴۹﴾
Qarib: Woe on that Day to those who belied it!
Sarwar: On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! Shakir: Woe on that day to the rejecters Pickthall: Woe unto the repudiators on that day! Yusufali: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth!
فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ
﴿۵۰﴾
Qarib: After this, in what discourse will they believe?
Sarwar: In which word other than the Quran will they believe? Shakir: In what announcement, then, after it, will they believe? Pickthall: In what statement, after this, will they believe? Yusufali: Then what Message, after that, will they believe in? |
