Sura 70: AL-MAARIJ (THE ASCENDING STAIRWAYS) - Juz' 29

Qarib: Those are highly honored in the Gardens.
Sarwar: such people will receive due honor in Paradise.
Shakir: Those shall be in gardens, honored
Pickthall: These will dwell in Gardens, honoured.
Yusufali: Such will be the honoured ones in the Gardens (of Bliss).
Qarib: But what is the matter with the unbelievers, that they strain their glances continuously towards them,
Sarwar: What is wrong with the disbelievers who roam around you (Muhammad),
Shakir: But what is the matter with those who disbelieve that they hasten on around you,
Pickthall: What aileth those who disbelieve, that they keep staring toward thee (O Muhammad), open-eyed,
Yusufali: Now what is the matter with the Unbelievers that they rush madly before thee-
Qarib: on the right and on the left in groups?
Sarwar: left and right, in numerous groups?
Shakir: On the right hand and on the left, in sundry parties?
Pickthall: On the right and on the left, in groups?
Yusufali: From the right and from the left, in crowds?
Qarib: What, is every one of them eager to be admitted to the Garden of Bliss?
Sarwar: Does every one of them desire to enter the bountiful Paradise?
Shakir: Does every man of them desire that he should be made to enter the garden of bliss?
Pickthall: Doth every man among them hope to enter the Garden of Delight?
Yusufali: Does every man of them long to enter the Garden of Bliss?
Qarib: Not at all, for We have created them of what they know.
Sarwar: By no means! For they know very well out of what We have created them (The human being's naturally growing from a living germ, without discipline and good deeds will not result in virtue).
Shakir: By no means! Surely We have created them of what they know
Pickthall: Nay, verily. Lo! We created them from what they know.
Yusufali: By no means! For We have created them out of the (base matter) they know!
Qarib: No, I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests that We have the ability
Sarwar: I do not need to swear by the Lord of the eastern and western regions that We have certainly all the power
Shakir: But nay! I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests that We are certainly able
Pickthall: But nay! I swear by the Lord of the rising-places and the setting-places of the planets that We verily are Able
Yusufali: Now I do call to witness the Lord of all points in the East and the West that We can certainly-
Qarib: to exchange them with others better than they; nothing can outstrip Us!
Sarwar: to replace them by a better people and none can challenge Our power.
Shakir: To bring instead (others) better than them, and We shall not be overcome
Pickthall: To replace them by (others) better than them. And we are not to be outrun.
Yusufali: Substitute for them better (men) than they; And We are not to be defeated (in Our Plan).
Qarib: So leave them alone to plunge and play, until they encounter the Day which they are promised;
Sarwar: (Muhammad), leave them alone to dispute and play until they face the Day with which they have been threatened:
Shakir: Therefore leave them alone to go on with the false discourses and to sport until they come face to face with that day of theirs with which they are threatened;
Pickthall: So let them chat and play until they meet their Day which they are promised,
Yusufali: So leave them to plunge in vain talk and play about, until they encounter that Day of theirs which they have been promised!-
Qarib: the Day when they shall rush from their graves, as if they were hurrying to a raised flag,
Sarwar: the Day when they rush out of their graves as if racing towards a signpost,
Shakir: The day on which they shall come forth from their graves in haste, as if they were hastening on to a goal,
Pickthall: The day when they come forth from the graves in haste, as racing to a goal,
Yusufali: The Day whereon they will issue from their sepulchres in sudden haste as if they were rushing to a goal-post (fixed for them),-
Qarib: their eyes are humbled and they are covered with humiliation. Such is the Day that they were promised.
Sarwar: with their eyes cast down and covered by disgrace; the day about which they were promised.
Shakir: Their eyes cast down; disgrace shall overtake them; that is the day which they were threatened with
Pickthall: With eyes aghast, abasement stupefying them: Such is the Day which they are promised.
Yusufali: Their eyes lowered in dejection,- ignominy covering them (all over)! such is the Day the which they are promised!
