تَنْزِيلٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ
﴿۴۳﴾
Qarib: (It is) a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds.
Sarwar: It is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. Shakir: It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds Pickthall: It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. Yusufali: (This is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds.
وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ الْأَقَاوِيلِ
﴿۴۴﴾
Qarib: Had he invented sayings against Us,
Sarwar: Had Muhammad invented some words against Us,. Shakir: And if he had fabricated against Us some of the sayings, Pickthall: And if he had invented false sayings concerning Us, Yusufali: And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name,
لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِالْيَمِينِ
﴿۴۵﴾
Qarib: We would have seized him by the right hand
Sarwar: We would have caught hold of him by his right hand Shakir: We would certainly have seized him by the right hand, Pickthall: We assuredly had taken him by the right hand Yusufali: We should certainly seize him by his right hand,
ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ الْوَتِينَ
﴿۴۶﴾
Qarib: then, We would surely have cut from him the aorta (vein)
Sarwar: and cut-off his main artery. Shakir: Then We would certainly have cut off his aorta Pickthall: And then severed his life-artery, Yusufali: And We should certainly then cut off the artery of his heart:
فَمَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَاجِزِينَ
﴿۴۷﴾
Qarib: not one of you could have prevented it from him.
Sarwar: None of you would be able to prevent Us from doing this to him. Shakir: And not one of you could have withheld Us from him Pickthall: And not one of you could have held Us off from him. Yusufali: Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath).
وَإِنَّهُ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
﴿۴۸﴾
Qarib: Indeed, it is a Reminder to those who fear Allah,
Sarwar: The Quran is certainly a reminder for the pious ones. Shakir: And most surely it is a reminder for those who guard (against evil) Pickthall: And lo! it is a warrant unto those who ward off (evil). Yusufali: But verily this is a Message for the Allah-fearing.
وَإِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنْكُمْ مُكَذِّبِينَ
﴿۴۹﴾
Qarib: We know that there are some among you who will belie.
Sarwar: We certainly know that some of you have rejected it Shakir: And most surely We know that some of you are rejecters Pickthall: And lo! We know that some among you will deny (it). Yusufali: And We certainly know that there are amongst you those that reject (it).
وَإِنَّهُ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ
﴿۵۰﴾
Qarib: Indeed, it is a sorrow to the unbelievers
Sarwar: and (on the Day of Judgment) this will be a great source of regret for the unbelievers. Shakir: And most surely it is a great grief to the unbelievers Pickthall: And lo! it is indeed an anguish for the disbelievers. Yusufali: But truly (Revelation) is a cause of sorrow for the Unbelievers.
وَإِنَّهُ لَحَقُّ الْيَقِينِ
﴿۵۱﴾
Qarib: yet it is a certain truth.
Sarwar: This is the Truth beyond any doubt. Shakir: And most surely it is the true certainty Pickthall: And lo! it is absolute truth. Yusufali: But verily it is Truth of assured certainty.
فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ
﴿۵۲﴾
Qarib: Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great.
Sarwar: (Muhammad), glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. Shakir: Therefore-glorify the name of your Lord, the Great Pickthall: So glorify the name of thy Tremendous Lord. Yusufali: So glorify the name of thy Lord Most High. |
