سوره 69: الحاقة - جزء 29

قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌ ﴿۲۳﴾
Qarib: its fruits are near.
Sarwar: with fruits within easy reach.
Shakir: The fruits of which are near at hand:
Pickthall: Whereof the clusters are in easy reach.
Yusufali: The Fruits whereof (will hang in bunches) low and near.
كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِي الْأَيَّامِ الْخَالِيَةِ ﴿۲۴﴾
Qarib: (It will be said): 'Eat and drink with a good appetite because of what you did in days long passed. '
Sarwar: Such people will be told, "Eat and drink with pleasure as the reward for what you did in the past".
Shakir: Eat and drink pleasantly for what you did beforehand in the days gone by
Pickthall: (And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days.
Yusufali: "Eat ye and drink ye, with full satisfaction; because of the (good) that ye sent before you, in the days that are gone!"
وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِشِمَالِهِ فَيَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَابِيَهْ ﴿۲۵﴾
Qarib: But, he who is given his book in his left hand will say: 'Woe to me, would that my book had not been given to me!
Sarwar: However, those who will receive the books of the records of their deeds in their left hands will say, "We wish that this record had never been given to us
Shakir: And as for him who is given his book in his left hand he shall say: O would that my book had never been given me:
Pickthall: But as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say: Oh, would that I had not been given my book
Yusufali: And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me!
وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ ﴿۲۶﴾
Qarib: Nor that I knew my reckoning!
Sarwar: and that we would never knew what our records contained.
Shakir: And I had not known what my account was:
Pickthall: And knew not what my reckoning!
Yusufali: "And that I had never realised how my account (stood)!
يَا لَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ الْقَاضِيَةَ ﴿۲۷﴾
Qarib: Would that it (my death) had ended it all!
Sarwar: Would that death had taken us away for good.
Shakir: O would that it had made an end (of me):
Pickthall: Oh, would that it had been death!
Yusufali: "Ah! Would that (Death) had made an end of me!
مَا أَغْنَى عَنِّي مَالِيَهْ ﴿۲۸﴾
Qarib: My wealth has not helped me a thing
Sarwar: Our wealth is of no benefit to us
Shakir: My wealth has availed me nothing:
Pickthall: My wealth hath not availed me,
Yusufali: "Of no profit to me has been my wealth!
هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلْطَانِيَهْ ﴿۲۹﴾
Qarib: and my authority has been destroyed. '
Sarwar: and our belief has destroyed us".
Shakir: My authority is gone away from me
Pickthall: My power hath gone from me.
Yusufali: "My power has perished from me!"...
خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ ﴿۳۰﴾
Qarib: (It will be said): 'Take him and bind him.
Sarwar: The angels will be told, "Seize and chain them,
Shakir: Lay hold on him, then put a chain on him,
Pickthall: (It will be said): Take him and fetter him
Yusufali: (The stern command will say): "Seize ye him, and bind ye him,
ثُمَّ الْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ ﴿۳۱﴾
Qarib: Roast him in Hell,
Sarwar: then throw them into hell to be heated up therein.
Shakir: Then cast him into the burning fire,
Pickthall: And then expose him to hell-fire
Yusufali: "And burn ye him in the Blazing Fire.
ثُمَّ فِي سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًا فَاسْلُكُوهُ ﴿۳۲﴾
Qarib: then in a chain seventy arm's lengths long insert him.
Sarwar: Fasten a chain to them - seventy cubits long -
Shakir: Then thrust him into a chain the length of which is seventy cubits
Pickthall: And then insert him in a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits.
Yusufali: "Further, make him march in a chain, whereof the length is seventy cubits!
