سوره 52: الطور - جزء 27

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
به نام خداوند رحمتگر مهربان
وَالطُّورِ ﴿۱﴾
Qarib: By the Mount
Sarwar: By the Mount (Sinai),
Shakir: I swear by the Mountain,
Pickthall: By the Mount,
Yusufali: By the Mount (of Revelation);
وَكِتَابٍ مَسْطُورٍ ﴿۲﴾
Qarib: and by the Book in lines
Sarwar: by the book (Torah) written
Shakir: And the Book written
Pickthall: And a Scripture inscribed
Yusufali: By a Decree inscribed
فِي رَقٍّ مَنْشُورٍ ﴿۳﴾
Qarib: in an exposed parchment
Sarwar: on parchment for distribution,
Shakir: In an outstretched fine parchment,
Pickthall: On fine parchment unrolled,
Yusufali: In a Scroll unfolded;
وَالْبَيْتِ الْمَعْمُورِ ﴿۴﴾
Qarib: by the Visited House,
Sarwar: by the established House (Mecca),
Shakir: And the House (Kaaba) that is visited,
Pickthall: And the House frequented,
Yusufali: By the much-frequented Fane;
وَالسَّقْفِ الْمَرْفُوعِ ﴿۵﴾
Qarib: and the uplifted roof
Sarwar: by the high ceiling (heaven),
Shakir: And the elevated canopy
Pickthall: And the roof exalted,
Yusufali: By the Canopy Raised High;
وَالْبَحْرِ الْمَسْجُورِ ﴿۶﴾
Qarib: and the sea that is full
Sarwar: and by the swelling ocean,
Shakir: And the swollen sea
Pickthall: And the sea kept filled,
Yusufali: And by the Ocean filled with Swell;-
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ لَوَاقِعٌ ﴿۷﴾
Qarib: surely, the punishment of your Lord is about to come,
Sarwar: the torment of your Lord will inevitably take place
Shakir: Most surely the punishment of your Lord will come to pass;
Pickthall: Lo! the doom of thy Lord will surely come to pass;
Yusufali: Verily, the Doom of thy Lord will indeed come to pass;-
مَا لَهُ مِنْ دَافِعٍ ﴿۸﴾
Qarib: there is none to prevent it.
Sarwar: and no one will be able to prevent it.
Shakir: There shall be none to avert it;
Pickthall: There is none that can ward it off.
Yusufali: There is none can avert it;-
يَوْمَ تَمُورُ السَّمَاءُ مَوْرًا ﴿۹﴾
Qarib: Upon the Day when the heaven spins dizzily
Sarwar: On the day when the heavens will swiftly fly
Shakir: On the day when the heaven shall move from side to side
Pickthall: On the day when the heaven will heave with (awful) heaving,
Yusufali: On the Day when the firmament will be in dreadful commotion.
وَتَسِيرُ الْجِبَالُ سَيْرًا ﴿۱۰﴾
Qarib: and the mountains move, moving.
Sarwar: and the mountains quickly move.
Shakir: And the mountains shall pass away passing away (altogether)
Pickthall: And the mountains move away with (awful) movement,
Yusufali: And the mountains will fly hither and thither.
فَوَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ﴿۱۱﴾
Qarib: On that Day woe to those who belied
Sarwar: Woe will be to those who rejected the Truth
Shakir: So woe on that day to those who reject (the truth),
Pickthall: Then woe that day unto the deniers
Yusufali: Then woe that Day to those that treat (Truth) as Falsehood;-
الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي خَوْضٍ يَلْعَبُونَ ﴿۱۲﴾
Qarib: those who are in plunging, playing.
Sarwar: and who indulged in false disputes against (God's revelations).
Shakir: Those who sport entering into vain discourses
Pickthall: Who play in talk of grave matters;
Yusufali: That play (and paddle) in shallow trifles.
يَوْمَ يُدَعُّونَ إِلَى نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ دَعًّا ﴿۱۳﴾
Qarib: On that Day when they shall be pitched into the Fire of Gehenna (Hell),
Sarwar: On that day they will be violently pushed into the fire
Shakir: The day on which they shall be driven away to the fire of hell with violence
Pickthall: The day when they are thrust with a (disdainful) thrust, into the fire of hell
Yusufali: That Day shall they be thrust down to the Fire of Hell, irresistibly.
هَذِهِ النَّارُ الَّتِي كُنْتُمْ بِهَا تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿۱۴﴾
Qarib: (it will be said to them): 'This is the Fire which you belied!
Sarwar: and they will be told, "This is the fire which you called a lie.
Shakir: This is the fire which you used to give the lie to
Pickthall: (And it is said unto them): This is the Fire which ye were wont to deny.
Yusufali: "This:, it will be said, "Is the Fire,- which ye were wont to deny!
أَفَسِحْرٌ هَذَا أَمْ أَنْتُمْ لَا تُبْصِرُونَ ﴿۱۵﴾
Qarib: Is this magic, or is it that you do you not see?
Sarwar: Is it magic or do you not still see?
Shakir: Is it magic then or do you not see?
Pickthall: Is this magic, or do ye not see?
Yusufali: "Is this then a fake, or is it ye that do not see?
اصْلَوْهَا فَاصْبِرُوا أَوْ لَا تَصْبِرُوا سَوَاءٌ عَلَيْكُمْ إِنَّمَا تُجْزَوْنَ مَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿۱۶﴾
Qarib: Roast in it, bear it with or without patience, it is the same, you are only being recompensed for that which you used to do. '
Sarwar: Burn in its heat. It is all the same for you whether you exercise patience or not; This is the recompense for your deeds".
Shakir: Enter into it, then bear (it) patiently, or do not bear (it) patiently, it is the same to you; you shall be requited only (for) what you did
Pickthall: Endure the heat thereof, and whether ye are patient of it or impatient of it is all one for you. Ye are only being paid for what ye used to do.
Yusufali: "Burn ye therein: the same is it to you whether ye bear it with patience, or not: Ye but receive the recompense of your (own) deeds."
إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَنَعِيمٍ ﴿۱۷﴾
Qarib: But in the Gardens the righteous shall live in bliss,
Sarwar: The pious will live in bountiful Paradise,
Shakir: Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and bliss
Pickthall: Lo! those who kept their duty dwell in gardens and delight,
Yusufali: As to the Righteous, they will be in Gardens, and in Happiness,-
فَاكِهِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ وَوَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ عَذَابَ الْجَحِيمِ ﴿۱۸﴾
Qarib: rejoicing in all their Lord has given them, and their Lord will guard them against the punishment of Hell.
Sarwar: talking of what they have received from their Lord and of how their Lord has saved them from the torment of hell.
Shakir: Rejoicing because of what their Lord gave them, and their Lord saved them from the punishment of the burning fire
Pickthall: Happy because of what their Lord hath given them, and (because) their Lord hath warded off from them the torment of hell-fire.
Yusufali: Enjoying the (Bliss) which their Lord hath bestowed on them, and their Lord shall deliver them from the Penalty of the Fire.
كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿۱۹﴾
Qarib: (It will be said): 'Eat and drink with a good appetite because of that which you did. '
Sarwar: They will be told, "Eat and drink to your heart's delight for what you have done".
Shakir: Eat and drink pleasantly for what you did,
Pickthall: (And it is said unto them): Eat and drink in health (as a reward) for what ye used to do,
Yusufali: (To them will be said:) "Eat and drink ye, with profit and health, because of your (good) deeds."
مُتَّكِئِينَ عَلَى سُرُرٍ مَصْفُوفَةٍ وَزَوَّجْنَاهُمْ بِحُورٍ عِينٍ ﴿۲۰﴾
Qarib: (They shall be) reclining on couches ranged in rows and We shall wed them to houris (virgins of Paradise) with large wide eyes.
Sarwar: They will recline on couches arranged in rows and We shall couple them with maidens with large, lovely eyes.
Shakir: Reclining on thrones set in lines, and We will unite them to large-eyed beautiful ones
Pickthall: Reclining on ranged couches. And we wed them unto fair ones with wide, lovely eyes.
Yusufali: They will recline (with ease) on Thrones (of dignity) arranged in ranks; and We shall join them to Companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes.
وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاتَّبَعَتْهُمْ ذُرِّيَّتُهُمْ بِإِيمَانٍ أَلْحَقْنَا بِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَمَا أَلَتْنَاهُمْ مِنْ عَمَلِهِمْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ بِمَا كَسَبَ رَهِينٌ ﴿۲۱﴾
Qarib: Those who believe, and whose descendants follow in belief, We will join their descendants to them. And We will not reduce them of anything of their deeds. Every one is pledged for what he has earned.
Sarwar: The offspring of the believers will also follow them to Paradise. So shall We join their offspring to them because of their faith. We shall reduce nothing from their deeds. Everyone will be responsible for his own actions.
Shakir: And (as for) those who believe and their offspring follow them in faith, We will unite with them their offspring and We will not diminish to them aught of their work; every man is responsible for what he shall have wrought
Pickthall: And they who believe and whose seed follow them in faith, We cause their seed to join them (there), and We deprive them of nought of their (life's) work. Every man is a pledge for that which he hath earned.
Yusufali: And those who believe and whose families follow them in Faith,- to them shall We join their families: Nor shall We deprive them (of the fruit) of aught of their works: (Yet) is each individual in pledge for his deeds.
وَأَمْدَدْنَاهُمْ بِفَاكِهَةٍ وَلَحْمٍ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ ﴿۲۲﴾
Qarib: We shall give them fruits and meat as they desire.
Sarwar: We shall provide them with fruits and the meat of the kind which they desire.
Shakir: And We will aid them with fruit and flesh such as they desire
Pickthall: And We provide them with fruit and meat such as they desire.
Yusufali: And We shall bestow on them, of fruit and meat, anything they shall desire.
يَتَنَازَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا لَا لَغْوٌ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأْثِيمٌ ﴿۲۳﴾
Qarib: There they will pass a goblet to one another with neither idle talk nor sin,
Sarwar: They will pass cups of un-intoxicating and unsinful wine to one another.
Shakir: They shall pass therein from one to another a cup wherein there shall be nothing vain nor any sin
Pickthall: There they pass from hand to hand a cup wherein is neither vanity nor cause of sin.
Yusufali: They shall there exchange, one with another, a (loving) cup free of frivolity, free of all taint of ill.
وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ غِلْمَانٌ لَهُمْ كَأَنَّهُمْ لُؤْلُؤٌ مَكْنُونٌ ﴿۲۴﴾
Qarib: and youths, of their own, shall pass among them as if they were hidden pearls.
Sarwar: They will be served by youths who will be as beautiful as pearls.
Shakir: And round them shall go boys of theirs as if they were hidden pearls
Pickthall: And there go round, waiting on them menservants of their own, as they were hidden pearls.
Yusufali: Round about them will serve, (devoted) to them, young male servants (handsome) as Pearls well-guarded.
وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ ﴿۲۵﴾
Qarib: They will go to one another asking each other questions:
Sarwar: They will turn to one another ask questions,
Shakir: And some of them shall advance towards others questioning each other
Pickthall: And some of them draw near unto others, questioning,
Yusufali: They will advance to each other, engaging in mutual enquiry.
قَالُوا إِنَّا كُنَّا قَبْلُ فِي أَهْلِنَا مُشْفِقِينَ ﴿۲۶﴾
Qarib: 'When we were among our people, ' they will say, 'we were ever fearful,
Sarwar: saying, "We were afraid while in the world.
Shakir: Saying: Surely we feared before on account of our families:
Pickthall: Saying: Lo! of old, when we were with our families, we were ever anxious;
Yusufali: They will say: "Aforetime, we were not without fear for the sake of our people.
فَمَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَيْنَا وَوَقَانَا عَذَابَ السَّمُومِ ﴿۲۷﴾
Qarib: but Allah has been gracious to us and has protected us from the punishment of the burning wind.
Sarwar: But God has granted us favors and saved us from the scorching heat of the torment.
Shakir: But Allah has been gracious to us and He has saved us from the punishment of the hot wind:
Pickthall: But Allah hath been gracious unto us and hath preserved us from the torment of the breath of Fire.
Yusufali: "But Allah has been good to us, and has delivered us from the Penalty of the Scorching Wind.
إِنَّا كُنَّا مِنْ قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْبَرُّ الرَّحِيمُ ﴿۲۸﴾
Qarib: Before, we were supplicating to Him. He is the Giving, the Most Merciful. '
Sarwar: We had prayed to Him; He is Kind and All-merciful".
Shakir: Surely we called upon Him before: Surely He is the Benign, the Merciful
Pickthall: Lo! we used to pray unto Him of old. Lo! He is the Benign, the Merciful.
Yusufali: "Truly, we did call unto Him from of old: truly it is He, the Beneficent, the Merciful!"
فَذَكِّرْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ ﴿۲۹﴾
Qarib: Therefore, remind. By the Favor of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor mad.
Sarwar: (Muhammad), remind them, by the Grace of your Lord, that you are neither a soothsayer or an insane person.
Shakir: Therefore continue to remind, for by the grace of your Lord, you are not a soothsayer, or a madman
Pickthall: Therefor warn (men, O Muhammad). By the grace of Allah thou art neither soothsayer nor madman.
Yusufali: Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed.
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَتَرَبَّصُ بِهِ رَيْبَ الْمَنُونِ ﴿۳۰﴾
Qarib: Or do they say: 'He is a poet, we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him? '
Sarwar: Do they say, "He is only a poet and we are waiting to see him die!?"
Shakir: Or do they say: A poet, we wait for him the evil accidents of time
Pickthall: Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time?
Yusufali: Or do they say:- "A Poet! we await for him some calamity (hatched) by Time!"
قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا فَإِنِّي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ ﴿۳۱﴾
Qarib: Say: 'Wait if you will; I shall be waiting with you. '
Sarwar: Say, "Wait, I too am waiting with you".
Shakir: Say: Wait, for surely I too with you am of those who wait
Pickthall: Say (unto them): Except (your fill)! Lo! I am with you among the expectant.
Yusufali: Say thou: "Await ye!- I too will wait along with you!"
أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَامُهُمْ بِهَذَا أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ ﴿۳۲﴾
Qarib: Or, do their intellects order them to do this? Or, are they an insolent people?
Sarwar: Does their reason tell them to say this or is it because they are a rebellious people?
Shakir: Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they an inordinate people?
Pickthall: Do their minds command them to do this, or are they an outrageous folk?
Yusufali: Is it that their faculties of understanding urge them to this, or are they but a people transgressing beyond bounds?
أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُ بَلْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ﴿۳۳﴾
Qarib: Do they say: 'He has invented it? ' No, they do not believe.
Sarwar: Do they say, "He has falsely invented it (the Quran)?" In fact, they themselves have no faith.
Shakir: Or do they say: He has forged it. Nay! they do not believe
Pickthall: Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but they will not believe!
Yusufali: Or do they say, "He fabricated the (Message)"? Nay, they have no faith!
فَلْيَأْتُوا بِحَدِيثٍ مِثْلِهِ إِنْ كَانُوا صَادِقِينَ ﴿۳۴﴾
Qarib: Let them produce a phrase like it, if what they say is true!
Sarwar: Let them produce a discourse like it if they are true in their claim.
Shakir: Then let them bring an announcement like it if they are truthful
Pickthall: Then let them produce speech the like thereof, if they are truthful.
Yusufali: Let them then produce a recital like unto it,- If (it be) they speak the truth!
أَمْ خُلِقُوا مِنْ غَيْرِ شَيْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ الْخَالِقُونَ ﴿۳۵﴾
Qarib: Or, were they created out of nothing? Or, were they their own creators?
Sarwar: Have they been created from nothing or are they themselves their own creators?
Shakir: Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators?
Pickthall: Or were they created out of naught? Or are they the creators?
Yusufali: Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators?
أَمْ خَلَقُوا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بَلْ لَا يُوقِنُونَ ﴿۳۶﴾
Qarib: Or, did they create the heavens and the earth? No, their belief is not certain!
Sarwar: Have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no strong faith.
Shakir: Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay! they have no certainty
Pickthall: Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they are sure of nothing!
Yusufali: Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, they have no firm belief.
أَمْ عِنْدَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ الْمُصَيْطِرُونَ ﴿۳۷﴾
Qarib: Or, are the treasures of your Lord in their keeping? Or, are they the controllers?
Sarwar: Do they own the treasures of your Lord? Have they any authority over God?
Shakir: Or have they the treasures of your Lord with them? Or have they been set in absolute authority?
Pickthall: Or do they own the treasures of thy Lord? Or have they been given charge (thereof)?
Yusufali: Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)?
أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُمْ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ ﴿۳۸﴾
Qarib: Or, do they have a ladder on which they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority.
Sarwar: Do they have a ladder (by which they can climb up to the heavens) and listen (to the angels) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority?
Shakir: Or have they the means by which they listen? Then let their listener bring a clear authority
Pickthall: Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees). Then let their listener produce some warrant manifest!
Yusufali: Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof.
أَمْ لَهُ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَكُمُ الْبَنُونَ ﴿۳۹﴾
Qarib: Or, has He daughters, and they sons?
Sarwar: Do the daughters belong to Him and the sons to you?
Shakir: Or has He daughters while you have sons?
Pickthall: Or hath He daughters whereas ye have sons?
Yusufali: Or has He only daughters and ye have sons?
أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُمْ مِنْ مَغْرَمٍ مُثْقَلُونَ ﴿۴۰﴾
Qarib: Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they become weighed down in debt?
Sarwar: Do you (Muhammad) ask them for any payment (for your preaching) which they cannot afford?
Shakir: Or do you ask them for a reward, so that they are overburdened by a debt?
Pickthall: Or askest thou (Muhammad) a fee from them so that they are plunged in debt?
Yusufali: Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?-
أَمْ عِنْدَهُمُ الْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ ﴿۴۱﴾
Qarib: Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down?
Sarwar: Do they have knowledge of the unseen, thus, are able to predict (the future)?
Shakir: Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down?
Pickthall: Or possess they the Unseen so that they can write (it) down?
Yusufali: Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down?
أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا فَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هُمُ الْمَكِيدُونَ ﴿۴۲﴾
Qarib: Or, do they desire to outwit? The unbelievers are the outwitted.
Sarwar: Do they design evil plans? The disbelievers themselves will be snared by their evil plots.
Shakir: Or do they desire a war? But those who disbelieve shall be the vanquished ones in war
Pickthall: Or seek they to ensnare (the messenger)? But those who disbelieve, they are the ensnared!
Yusufali: Or do they intend a plot (against thee)? But those who defy Allah are themselves involved in a Plot!
أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ﴿۴۳﴾
Qarib: Or, do they have a god, other than Allah? Exaltations to Allah above that which they associate!
Sarwar: Do they have another god besides God? God is too exalted to be considered equal to the idols.
Shakir: Or have they a god other than Allah? Glory be to Allah from what they set up (with Him)
Pickthall: Or have they any god beside Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)!
Yusufali: Or have they a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah far above the things they associate with Him!
وَإِنْ يَرَوْا كِسْفًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ سَاقِطًا يَقُولُوا سَحَابٌ مَرْكُومٌ ﴿۴۴﴾
Qarib: Even if they saw lumps falling from the sky they would say: 'A massed cloud! '
Sarwar: Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud".
Shakir: And if they should see a portion of the heaven coming down, they would say: Piled up clouds
Pickthall: And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds.
Yusufali: Were they to see a piece of the sky falling (on them), they would (only) say: "Clouds gathered in heaps!"
فَذَرْهُمْ حَتَّى يُلَاقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي فِيهِ يُصْعَقُونَ ﴿۴۵﴾
Qarib: So leave them till they encounter their Day in which they shall be thunderstruck.
Sarwar: So leave them alone until they face the day when they will be struck dead from terror
Shakir: Leave them then till they meet that day of theirs wherein they shall be made to swoon (with terror):
Pickthall: Then let them be (O Muhammad), till they meet their day, in which they will be thunder-stricken,
Yusufali: So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs, wherein they shall (perforce) swoon (with terror),-
يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي عَنْهُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئًا وَلَا هُمْ يُنْصَرُونَ ﴿۴۶﴾
Qarib: The Day when their guile shall not relieve them a thing, and they shall not be helped.
Sarwar: and when their evil plans will be of no benefit to them nor will they be helped.
Shakir: The day on which their struggle shall not avail them aught, nor shall they be helped
Pickthall: A day in which their guile will naught avail them, nor will they be helped.
Yusufali: The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them.
وَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا عَذَابًا دُونَ ذَلِكَ وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿۴۷﴾
Qarib: For the harmdoers there is indeed, a punishment before that, but most of them do not know.
Sarwar: The unjust will suffer other torments besides this but most of them do not know.
Shakir: And surely those who are unjust shall have a punishment besides that (in the world), but most of them do not know
Pickthall: And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a punishment beyond that. But most of them know not.
Yusufali: And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not.
وَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ فَإِنَّكَ بِأَعْيُنِنَا وَسَبِّحْ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ ﴿۴۸﴾
Qarib: And be patient under the Judgement of your Lord, surely, you are before Our Eyes. And exalt with the praise of your Lord when you arise,
Sarwar: Wait patiently for the command of your Lord. We are watching over you. Glorify your Lord when you rise during the night
Shakir: And wait patiently for the judgment of your Lord, for surely you are before Our eyes, and sing the praise of your Lord when you rise;
Pickthall: So wait patiently (O Muhammad) for thy Lord's decree, for surely thou art in Our sight; and hymn the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest,
Yusufali: Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth,
وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَسَبِّحْهُ وَإِدْبَارَ النُّجُومِ ﴿۴۹﴾
Qarib: and exalt Him in the night and at the declining of the stars.
Sarwar: and glorify Him after the setting of the stars.
Shakir: And in the night, give Him glory too, and at the setting of the stars
Pickthall: And in the night-time also hymn His praise, and at the setting of the stars.
Yusufali: And for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars!
