Sura 15: AL-HIJR (AL-HIJR) - Juz' 14

Qarib: So We sent it down to the partitioners,
Sarwar: (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups
Shakir: Like as We sent down on the dividers
Pickthall: Such as We send down for those who make division,
Yusufali: (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),-
Qarib: who have broken the Koran into parts,
Sarwar: and also divided the Quran believing in some parts and rejecting others.
Shakir: Those who made the Quran into shreds
Pickthall: Those who break the Qur'an into parts.
Yusufali: (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please).
Qarib: so by your Lord, We will question them all
Sarwar: By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible
Shakir: So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all,
Pickthall: Them, by thy Lord, We shall question, every one,
Yusufali: Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account,
Qarib: about what they did.
Sarwar: for what they have done
Shakir: As to what they did
Pickthall: Of what they used to do.
Yusufali: For all their deeds.
Qarib: Proclaim then, what you are commanded and turn away from the unbelievers.
Sarwar: Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans.
Shakir: Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists
Pickthall: So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters.
Yusufali: Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah.
Qarib: We suffice you against those who mock,
Sarwar: We shall help you against those who mock you
Shakir: Surely We will suffice you against the scoffers
Pickthall: Lo! We defend thee from the scoffers,
Yusufali: For sufficient are We unto thee against those who scoff,-
Qarib: and those who set up other gods with Allah, indeed, they will soon know.
Sarwar: and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth.
Shakir: Those who set up another god with Allah; so they shall soon know
Pickthall: Who set some other god along with Allah. But they will come to know.
Yusufali: Those who adopt, with Allah, another god: but soon will they come to know.
Qarib: Indeed, We know your chest is straitened by that they say.
Sarwar: We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you.
Shakir: And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say;
Pickthall: Well know We that thy bosom is oppressed by what they say,
Yusufali: We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say.
Qarib: Exalt with the praise of your Lord and be one of those who prostrate.
Sarwar: Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God.
Shakir: Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance
Pickthall: But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him).
Yusufali: But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration.
Qarib: Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you.
Sarwar: Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty.
Shakir: And serve your Lord until there comes to you that which is certain
Pickthall: And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee.
Yusufali: And serve thy Lord until there come unto thee the Hour that is Certain.
