Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, (۱)

created the human from a (blood) clot. (۲)

Read! Your Lord is the Most Generous, (۳)

who taught by the pen, (۴)

taught the human what he did not know. (۵)

Indeed, surely the human is very insolent (۶)

that he sees himself sufficed. (۷)

Indeed, to your Lord is the returning. (۸)

What do you think? Have you seen he who forbids (۹)

a worshiper when he prays. (۱۰)
