ثُمَّ نَظَرَ
﴿۲۱﴾
Then looked he, (۲۱)
ثُمَّ عَبَسَ وَبَسَرَ
﴿۲۲﴾
Then frowned he and showed displeasure. (۲۲)
ثُمَّ أَدْبَرَ وَاسْتَكْبَرَ
﴿۲۳﴾
Then turned he away in pride (۲۳)
فَقَالَ إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا سِحْرٌ يُؤْثَرُ
﴿۲۴﴾
And said: This is naught else than magic from of old; (۲۴)
إِنْ هَذَا إِلَّا قَوْلُ الْبَشَرِ
﴿۲۵﴾
This is naught else than speech of mortal man. (۲۵)
سَأُصْلِيهِ سَقَرَ
﴿۲۶﴾
Him shall I fling unto the burning. (۲۶)
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سَقَرُ
﴿۲۷﴾
- Ah, what will convey unto thee what that burning is! - (۲۷)
لَا تُبْقِي وَلَا تَذَرُ
﴿۲۸﴾
It leaveth naught; it spareth naught (۲۸)
لَوَّاحَةٌ لِلْبَشَرِ
﴿۲۹﴾
It shrivelleth the man. (۲۹)
عَلَيْهَا تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَ
﴿۳۰﴾
Above it are nineteen. (۳۰)
