|
قَالَ هَؤُلَاءِ بَنَاتِي إِنْ كُنْتُمْ فَاعِلِينَ
﴿۷۱﴾
He said: Here are my daughters, if ye must be doing (so). (۷۱)
لَعَمْرُكَ إِنَّهُمْ لَفِي سَكْرَتِهِمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
﴿۷۲﴾
By thy life (O Muhammad) they moved blindly in the frenzy of approaching death. (۷۲)
فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّيْحَةُ مُشْرِقِينَ
﴿۷۳﴾
Then the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the sunrise. (۷۳)
فَجَعَلْنَا عَالِيَهَا سَافِلَهَا وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِنْ سِجِّيلٍ
﴿۷۴﴾
And We utterly confounded them, and We rained upon them stones of heated clay. (۷۴)
إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِلْمُتَوَسِّمِينَ
﴿۷۵﴾
Lo! therein verily are portents for those who read the signs. (۷۵)
وَإِنَّهَا لَبِسَبِيلٍ مُقِيمٍ
﴿۷۶﴾
And lo! it is upon a road still uneffaced. (۷۶)
إِنَّ فِي ذَلِكَ لَآيَةً لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
﴿۷۷﴾
Lo! therein is indeed a portent for believers. (۷۷)
وَإِنْ كَانَ أَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ لَظَالِمِينَ
﴿۷۸﴾
And the dwellers in the wood indeed were evil-doers. (۷۸)
فَانْتَقَمْنَا مِنْهُمْ وَإِنَّهُمَا لَبِإِمَامٍ مُبِينٍ
﴿۷۹﴾
So we took vengeance on them; and lo! they both are on a high-road plain to see. (۷۹)
وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ أَصْحَابُ الْحِجْرِ الْمُرْسَلِينَ
﴿۸۰﴾
And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. (۸۰)
