لَا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنْ جُوعٍ
﴿۷﴾
Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. (۷)
وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَاعِمَةٌ
﴿۸﴾
(Other) faces that Day will be joyful, (۸)
لِسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌ
﴿۹﴾
Pleased with their striving,- (۹)
فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ
﴿۱۰﴾
In a Garden on high, (۱۰)
لَا تَسْمَعُ فِيهَا لَاغِيَةً
﴿۱۱﴾
Where they shall hear no (word) of vanity: (۱۱)
فِيهَا عَيْنٌ جَارِيَةٌ
﴿۱۲﴾
Therein will be a bubbling spring: (۱۲)
فِيهَا سُرُرٌ مَرْفُوعَةٌ
﴿۱۳﴾
Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, (۱۳)
وَأَكْوَابٌ مَوْضُوعَةٌ
﴿۱۴﴾
Goblets placed (ready), (۱۴)
وَنَمَارِقُ مَصْفُوفَةٌ
﴿۱۵﴾
And cushions set in rows, (۱۵)
وَزَرَابِيُّ مَبْثُوثَةٌ
﴿۱۶﴾
And rich carpets (all) spread out. (۱۶)
