قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌ
﴿۲۳﴾
its fruits are near. (23)
كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِي الْأَيَّامِ الْخَالِيَةِ
﴿۲۴﴾
(It will be said): 'Eat and drink with a good appetite because of what you did in days long passed. ' (24)
وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِشِمَالِهِ فَيَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَابِيَهْ
﴿۲۵﴾
But, he who is given his book in his left hand will say: 'Woe to me, would that my book had not been given to me! (25)
وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ
﴿۲۶﴾
Nor that I knew my reckoning! (26)
يَا لَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ الْقَاضِيَةَ
﴿۲۷﴾
Would that it (my death) had ended it all! (27)
مَا أَغْنَى عَنِّي مَالِيَهْ
﴿۲۸﴾
My wealth has not helped me a thing (28)
هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلْطَانِيَهْ
﴿۲۹﴾
and my authority has been destroyed. ' (29)
خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ
﴿۳۰﴾
(It will be said): 'Take him and bind him. (30)
ثُمَّ الْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ
﴿۳۱﴾
Roast him in Hell, (31)
ثُمَّ فِي سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًا فَاسْلُكُوهُ
﴿۳۲﴾
then in a chain seventy arm's lengths long insert him. (32)
