By the Star when it setteth, (۱)

Your comrade erreth not, nor is deceived; (۲)

Nor doth he speak of (his own) desire. (۳)

It is naught save an inspiration that is inspired, (۴)

Which one of mighty powers hath taught him, (۵)

One vigorous; and he grew clear to view (۶)

When he was on the uppermost horizon. (۷)

Then he drew nigh and came down (۸)

Till he was (distant) two bows' length or even nearer, (۹)

And He revealed unto His slave that which He revealed. (۱۰)
