Sura 17: AL-ISRA (ISRA') - Juz' 15 - Translation Qarib

Do not set up with Allah another god, or you will sit condemned and forsaken. (22)
Your Lord has ordered you to worship none except Him, and to be good to your parents. If either or both of them attain old age with you, do not say: "Fie on you", nor rebuke them, but speak to them with words of respect. (23)
And lower to them the wing of humbleness out of mercy and say: 'My Lord, be merciful to them, as they raised me since I was little. ' (24)
Your Lord knows very well what is in your hearts. If you are good, He is forgiving to those who are penitent. (25)
Give to the near of kin, the needy and the destitute traveler their rights and do not squander, (26)
for the wasteful are the brothers of satan; and satan is ungrateful to his Lord. (27)
But if you turn away from them to seek the Mercy of your Lord, hoping to attain it, then speak to them with gentle words. (28)
And do not keep your hand chained to your neck (when spending), nor open it completely, so that you will sit blamed and destitute. (29)
Your Lord gives to whom He will His provisions both abundantly and sparingly. He is aware and sees His worshipers. (30)
Do not kill your children because you fear poverty. We will provide for you and them. Killing them is a great sin. (31)
