|
وَالْجَانَّ خَلَقْنَاهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ مِنْ نَارِ السَّمُومِ
﴿۲۷﴾
and before him We created the jinn from smokeless fire. (۲۷)
وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنِّي خَالِقٌ بَشَرًا مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ مِنْ حَمَإٍ مَسْنُونٍ
﴿۲۸﴾
When your Lord said to the angels: 'See, I am creating a mortal from clay of molded mud. (۲۸)
فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِنْ رُوحِي فَقَعُوا لَهُ سَاجِدِينَ
﴿۲۹﴾
When I have shaped him and ran My created soul in him fall down prostrating towards him'. (۲۹)
فَسَجَدَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ
﴿۳۰﴾
All the angels prostrated themselves, (۳۰)
إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ أَبَى أَنْ يَكُونَ مَعَ السَّاجِدِينَ
﴿۳۱﴾
except iblis (father of the jinn) who refused to be one of those who prostrated themselves. (۳۱)
قَالَ يَا إِبْلِيسُ مَا لَكَ أَلَّا تَكُونَ مَعَ السَّاجِدِينَ
﴿۳۲﴾
He said: 'iblis, what is the matter with you, that you do you not prostrate yourself? ' (۳۲)
قَالَ لَمْ أَكُنْ لِأَسْجُدَ لِبَشَرٍ خَلَقْتَهُ مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ مِنْ حَمَإٍ مَسْنُونٍ
﴿۳۳﴾
He replied: 'I will not prostrate to a mortal You have created of clay, from molded mud. ' (۳۳)
قَالَ فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ
﴿۳۴﴾
(Allah) said: 'Begone, you are accursed! (۳۴)
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ اللَّعْنَةَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الدِّينِ
﴿۳۵﴾
A curse shall be on you till the Day of Recompense. ' (۳۵)
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنْظِرْنِي إِلَى يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ
﴿۳۶﴾
He said: 'My Lord, reprieve me till the Day they are raised. ' (۳۶)
